WE ARE HERE FROM 1985
The word MOKU means “island” in Hawaiian, and our roots run deep. MOKU was originally a clothing company from the island of Japan. In 1985, Moku traveled across the Pacific and opened the flagship store on the island of Oahu.
Moku was blessed with the location in the heart of Waikiki, just a block away from the world’s renowned surf breaks, Queens and Canoes, where the statue of Duke Kahanamoku welcomes the world.
The strong ties to surfing made Moku transition to a surf shop, and Moku has grown to be the best surf shop for surf lessons and rentals in the last 35 years.
One of MOKU’s missions is to support keikis, children in Hawaiian. They represent Moku in various surf contests, and many of them became outstanding and successful surfers. You can find them in the water, just look for the MOKU logo on their surfboards.
We believe our customer as well as keikis are most important.
We always have and will strive to meet all your surfing needs with Aloha.
